We went down in February and had a blast. We had the park to ourselves for the most part and traction was very difficult to come by. A lot of winching the first day but by the second day it had started drying. Ran into Nathan W. while we were there and he was able to lead us on a great night run. We stayed in the rooms on location and they were clean and provided a place to get some rest. Much better than tents anyways, bring your own pillow and blanket if you are going down when it’s cold. The wheeling was great for us flat landers.

Live just minutes from GMP. Best crawling in TN hands down. Had the pleasure of watching easy trails turn to extreme in last few years. Great knowing when something goes bad is knowing help is only minutes away and not miles.

I went to Golden Mountain Park in August, 2012. As a photographer, I was very excited to look at the different landscapes the park had to offer. I went on my very first Off-Roading experience and it was amazing! I had no idea a vehicle was capable of climbing over rocks like that! Anthony, the park manager, was great for information about the park and the surrounding area. I very much enjoyed my stay in the bunkhouse and would definitely go back!

Great park, ran by a nice and helpful guy. The history of the park and the scenery is one of the best. Great trails challenging for everyone

Golden Mountain was 1 of the best places we have wheeled. We have 2 broke vehicles but well worth the trip! Our group 4 wheels to freedom (4wtf.org) will be back to visit.

My daughters wedding was at Golden Mountain Park on June 2 2012. It was absolutely perfect. All of our guest commented on how beautiful it was and we had the time of our lives! There wasn’t anything I would have changed other then the road heading up to the park needs repaired but once you top that hill it is a hidden treasure. I would highly recommend it.

The bunkhouses are a bit small and plain but new and very clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. The trails were marked well with a main road to get in and out. Our group took 6 rigs, all with 38 to 54 inch tires and found some tough trails. One of us either rolled over, broke a sway bar, snapped a u joint, twisted a drive shaft in two, or broke a lock out hub off. At the end of two days there we have all decided to go back and attack the trails again. Thanks Golden Mountain for a super weekend.

I visited in the Fall of 2009. Very beautiful park, very well maintained. Had trails to challenge all levels of drivers and vehicles. Was there all day and still didn’t cover all the acres of trails that are available. Would definitely like to return.

I was there this past weekend (7/17-18 2010) with a group of six jeeps. A couple of us had bunk rooms and we all had use of Pavilion #3 for Saturday night and Sunday. It all worked out great for us as we were able to set back to a great meals and good story telling both days under the pavilion. The Bunk Rooms were very clean and user friendly. The trails offered excitment for our group both before and after a small rain shower that moved past on Sunday morning. This was my first trip to Golden Mountain but will not be my last. PS the workers were very helpfull and took good care of us during our stay!!!!
